On June 16, Ms Tasoula Hadjitofi, will be representing non-governmental and non-profit organization, Walk of Truth on the occasion of Europa Nostra’s 50th anniversary in Athens. An activist for the past 30 years and founder of WoT Hadjitofi will attend the event which takes place at the Acropolis Museum with young student Nick Rivard. Rivard will present world-renowned tenor and Europa Nostra President with a book titled “Protecting Art from Crime, Disputes and War,” in the presence of Ms. Androulla Vassiliou, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism and Youth and President of Greece Mr. Karolos Papoulias. The book is the result of a school project, ‘Seals of Protection’ on the protection of cultural heritage, initiated by the Dutch-based NGO, Walk of Truth (WoT). Europa Nostra participated in this project by contributing an article written by their General Secretary, Ms. Sneška Quaedvlieg-Mihailović.
